At Osterman, our employees are deeply committed to giving back to the communities where we live and work. The Osterman Community Foundation (OCF)—founded and led by our team—serves as the cornerstone of these efforts.
Through OCF, we provide direct, needs-based financial assistance to individuals, families, and organizations facing hardship within our local communities. These contributions help recipients navigate immediate challenges, restore stability, and move toward long-term self-sufficiency.
This one-time charitable donation is intended to help individuals navigate a period of crisis and regain stability. By offering support during these critical moments, we help neighbors meet essential needs and provide meaningful assistance when it matters most.

Several times each year, OCF fundraisers generate thousands of dollars to support families facing hardship. Since our founding in 2005, we’ve assisted more than 300 families, distributing hundreds of thousands of dollars in direct aid. Our operating philosophy is to help people regain stability and inspire hope for a better future.
Most notably, 100% of the funds raised by OCF are distributed directly to recipients, with no overhead or administrative fees—ensuring every dollar goes toward providing meaningful assistance.
The OCF process is designed to be clear and straightforward. Individuals begin by completing an OCF application and speaking with the OCF Screening Team to discuss their situation, assess needs, and confirm alignment with the OCF Charter. Qualifying applications are then reviewed by the OCF Board of Directors, which determines eligibility and approval. Approved recipients receive direct financial assistance tailored to their specific needs, with payments made directly to the appropriate vendor.
As of today we have helped 1,053 people/families and provided $1,940,000 in Aid.

In almost 7 years, we have given away $330,000 to 160 Veterans to date!

The OCF is dedicated to helping people in the communities where our employees live and work.
We provide financial relief to families and individuals in a time of need, such as job loss, illness, homelessness, and other situations. We pay basic needs – rent, utilities, car repairs, clothing, and food. We pay the need directly. We have saved many people from eviction and homelessness.
It’s rare to find a charitable organization where 100% of the donations go directly to the people in need – with zero administration costs. At OCF, that’s our promise.
